OK guys...Since you all are working on your writing skills, i will indulge you in a question, till you are ready. What according to you, is the most irritating thing about ASU?
Give an honest answer and you can list multiple things as well.
Most irritating thing - no 24 hour access to labs or libraries. Atleast for EE students, we should have a common computing lab that gives access to EE students 24/7, all through the year.
Its a big pain this semester - we sit in the GWC atrium like street beggars to do our projects....highly inconvenient.
There are many things I don't like about ASU. Bad peer group. This is true in terms of research and courses. I find students here are no better or sometimes worse than our peers in our undergrad college! There is nothing much to do in campus or around campus. Except for few professors, most of them have no interest in teaching. Even campus wise UoA is much better than ASU.
classes at morning 7 : 30.. we can never make it to that whenever we feel like going..communication class : i can count the number of times i went to class in my fingers as it was at 7 : 30..
as vinay said...the environment/crowd around...but u know wat we make up the crowd too...!i wud say giving mass admits was one wrong thing that ASU does...might be for business reasons but it certainly reduces the quality!and hw responsibly do we also behave...we dont come out of our habits right!...we still copy in assignments and exams...we do not show interest in the lecture sessions...when i am saying "we" i mean "most of us"...exceptions do exist!i guess its a two- way process...!and yeah...pathetic placements and career fairs...splly by EE dept! ...fine...we have cribbed enough...maybe we should think about "how things can be improved"...mebbe we can suggest few measures to michael crow...he definitely replies to mails...we can file a petition!i guess thats a right move...more than cribbing abt it or cursing ASU for evrything1
